What’s the Difference Between a Microcement Table and a “Normal” Lacquered or Wooden Table?
A microcement table is a piece with a continuous mineral texture, with no visible joints or added edging. We work on an internal structure designed specifically for furniture and coat it with layers of high-performance microcement. The result is a very resistant microcement table with a matt, natural finish that you simply can’t achieve with standard lacquer or regular boards.
It also allows us to play with shapes, visual thicknesses and dimensions that are much harder to achieve with conventional furniture.

Yes, a microcement table is perfectly suitable as an everyday dining table.
Our microcement dining tables are designed for real life: daily meals, children, friends, laptops, homework… We use high-performance microcement systems and professional sealers that protect the surface, reduce absorption and make cleaning very easy with a soft cloth and neutral soap.
Compared to a very delicate lacquered table, a microcement dining table is more resistant to everyday wear and small accidents like coffee or wine spills (as long as they’re cleaned within a reasonable time). With normal care and the right maintenance, it’s a practical option for everyday use in kitchens, open-plan living rooms and family dining spaces.
Can I Order a Custom Microcement Table for My Living or Dining Room?
That’s exactly how we work. We make bespoke microcement tables: you choose the length, width, height, shape (rectangular, round, square or organic), type of base and the colour from our chart. We help you fine-tune the dimensions so your microcement table feels well balanced with the sofa, chairs and circulation in the room.
Each piece is made to order in our workshop – we don’t work with fixed, standard sizes.
How Much Does a Microcement Table Weigh? Is It Very Heavy?
A microcement table is heavier than a “hollow” conventional table, but it’s not a solid concrete block. We design the internal structure to be robust yet manageable.
When we deliver your microcement table, we let you know the approximate weight and how it should be moved or assembled (depending on the size, it may be delivered as a single piece or in two parts: top + base). That way, you know in advance whether you’ll need two people or more to get it into place.
Can Microcement Tables Also Be Used as Coffee Tables?
Of course. In addition to microcement dining tables, we also make custom microcement coffee tables. We can adapt the height, the thickness of the top and the shape so it fits perfectly with your sofa and rug.
Very often we create a matching set – a microcement dining table and a microcement coffee table – to give the whole living room a coherent, unified look.
Can Microcement Tables Be Used Outdoors or Only Indoors?
We make microcement tables for indoor use and, after a prior assessment, for outdoor use as well. If the table is going on a terrace, porch or in a garden, we factor that in from the design stage: type of core, microcement system and sealer.
We only ask that you tell us from the beginning if your microcement table is going to live outdoors, so we can choose the most suitable solution.
What Colours Are Available for Microcement Tables?
We work with a wide range of mineral tones: greys, beiges, earthy colours and deeper shades. All of them keep the character of microcement, with subtle movement and nuances in the surface.
Before we make your bespoke microcement table, you can look at samples and combine them with your floors, walls and textiles to choose the colour that best fits your project.
